Students will explore The Nation of Islam in the context of our 90-year history in the United States of America. Through the use of multimedia resources, discussions, and presentations, students will be able to make connections between American history, Black history, and the role of the Nation of Islam in their personal family history and their experiences in modern-day America.

This class will focus on showing students how to build inner strength, how to build the determination to achieve their goals, how to improve their self-esteem, how to use their spirituality as they experience day to day living, and they will learn why having good values/morals is so important.
